Air drying a food with such a high meat content results in a product that pretty much resembles a jerky treat. Imagine taking a bunch of meat, organs and other healthy fresh ingredients, mixing it all up and ending up with a raw product that looks more like meatloaf than anything else. Now spread it thin, air dry it and what do you have left? A product that looks like jerky. Cut the jerky into pieces that are approximately .5" x .5" and that's Ziwi Peak!
The canned variety of Ziwi Peak is unique in that each can results in a completely sterile end product. The meats are placed into a sterile can, sealed and then cooked very slowly so there is no risk of cross contamination or other harmful matter coming into contact with what's in the can. With easy pull tabs, you are sure to open up a can that is entirely fresh as it should be.Why cans? For those who want to add some tripe into the diet or want to add in some venison, fish or lamb without going raw, basically you are not going to find any better quality out there. This is da stuff! And for dogs who are ill or inappetant, we gotta say in all honesty they will go absolutely nuts for Ziwi Peak cans.
Balanced for all life stages, Ziwi Peak is suitable for puppies and adult dogs alike and meets AAFCO requirements. Feed it to your dog as it is, mix it with other fresh foods (raw or cooked) or use it as training treats! With choices such as venison, venison and fish, or lamb, Ziwi Peak is outstanding for the dog with allergies.
